A business created and operated by high school students determined to find a way out of poverty for themselves and others is rapidly expanding throughout Florida. After the enterprise proved successful in the Naples-Fort Myers area, 240 additional Florida Publix stores will feature Taste of Immokalee’s line of salsa and sauces in their Buy Local displays, including a number of stores in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

The salsas and sauces are made from locally sourced produce and all profits are returned to Immokalee to alleviate the extreme poverty in the area and support youth programs.
